Summary
This game was extremely Fun and wasn't that frustrating until they changed the Accessories and the Aim System. Before the update I understand that some had issue with the guns feeling either to inaccurate or not long enough Range... However those players Typically came from games like CoD, that basis's there game play off of the Run and Gun close Range style of shooter... But really BF3 Focused on the WHOLE battlefield, letting some have long range AR and ext. that all had there flaws in close combat... Now every rifles feels the same... those defining factors that made this game very fun and unique with alot of different play styles making the battlefield Just that... A Battlefield not a barrel of fish... The close quarters Just improves on making this feel like its Call of Duty... Im not saying this game is bad... its a great game but i Quit after the players who came from CoD got there wish and BF3 adopted there play style... I no longer feel like its a battle field but a Lets run around and Fire... Instead of being able to hide and ambush its... "Oh great they just came around the corner running and shot me to death while my gun was trained and fired first." I love BF3 and forever will love it, but its time has already passed due to the changes. Everyone uses the same weapon set ups and the same basic guns... Silences for better close range... while adding those attachments the grant range to negate the Silences effects. It sure feels like a CoD game since each gun always feels like its based off of close range play and not havein real Penalties except having to tap the rifle... No recoil penalties to prevent that or givin a much less dmg to force the player to play the way they like. Now I dont expect most to understand my point of view as most have come from CoD games or havnt played this game from the very start... I have played this since I was Allowed first test abilities. It was great, with a bit of a learning curve for the different guns, it really was all about finding the weapon that was right for you... had the right aim with the right range... some players were great close range focusing on shotties and smg's. Longer Range could focus on being real Snipers or riflemen... Now each gun has been changes to were the attachments dictate what style they can play basically makin each weapon long or close or both... with very little problems. Now ill shut up about the bad... The good! The Great! The game is a massive Battlefield with the Conquest game types and Really shines here... Find the role you play well and Focus on it! If you focus and unlock everything you can be a master in your squad. With a good team or even 3 of your friends in your squad you have a great team ability. Mobile spawn points, refiles, hp regens, and more just remember that the more you practice your role, EVEN if you get Owned, Dont give up! I remember the first days of playing it was hell, but once you start playing and realize each trick that someone can use... each way death can come. You really become a good player, dont focus on runnin in, think of strategies, plans. Try different things like instead of Going right at your opponent, Sneak around using the buildings or the cover. Its a real battle game were you must be aware of your surrounding and must be a team player. I recommend this game to anyone wanting a game that gives you Tanks, Jeeps, Jets, Helo's and much more. Its not just a FPS its a Massive war game... This game is in its own league and No matter how you call it... you cant compare it to CoD in anything but the basic Guns and how they aim. Thats the only draw back is that it has lost its uniqueness to the guns... most feel the same, but before they felt very different and you would not see many copied builds... well except for those who used the USAS with Frag Rounds before they fixed the splash damage.
Sum Up!
Its a great Battlefield Game... very big and nice maps. The guns however make it feel very... repetitive. You dont feel like the guns have any uniqueness since the Attachments seem to do nothing but replicate other weapon performance... aka your smg feels like a rifle... your rifle feels like a Sniper. Now this isnt the worst thing but has made the game hard for me, as i prefer a battlefield with a variety of playstyles and weapons out there... not just a team full of 1 type of gun. But This is recommended to any hardcore and soft-core player for the game really gives you a good sense of battle and team play(only if you get 1 of those teams that realizes this however) So in the end Its worth getting the game and playing... just dont expect something that is fully different from a CoD or a generic Close combat game.
Xbox 360 Review - Great addition that brings some of the closed COD fast paced action with a BF twist...

Summary
After purchasing the BF Premium Pack and installing BFCQ I have to say it's all it's cracked up to be.
It almost seems as if they were able to add even more detailed given the closed off smaller scale maps. With Destructible Environments this makes for some amazing "Can't believe I just lived through all that destruction" moments.
The new Gun Mode is an interesting twist, but difficult if you fall behind. Basically, everyone starts off with a 9mm and progresses through various guns after getting 2 kills with each. Throughout the levelling players have to use a shotgun, or magnum for example to spread out the challenge. You may have a .44 while someone else has an automatic. It evens out the playing field, but not too much.
The four levels are well made and though they make for Close Quarters combat, they still don't create the spawn and be killed scenarios to the extent the COD games do. There is strangely an open feel to it still and again, with the destructible environments, these levels make for such complete mayhem at times it can leave you low on O2 from holding your breath.
There are several new weapons, but given the advantages don't really happen until you level them up I can't say much other than.. they are something new to play with.
Also there are 15 or so new "Assignments" that yield rewards and also give some focus...
Unfortunately, I would like to see most of these additional levels have a COOP mode that you and 2-4 friends could play with bots or something...
Why there isn't a practice mode still blows my mind, but whatever... it's still fun.
If BF can stick to their timeline of opening up maps every 2-3 months I have to say Premium is the way to go.
Good Job Battlefield... one day everyone will realize the superior and more realistic game of it's genre... BattleField 3
